Sad Day

Today started with a bit of luck as the bus to my venue was late and I was delivered to the venue just in time to see the Olympic Flame go by....... great atmosphere-lots out to see as it passed.
As I entered the venue some sad news hit as a 21 year old Georgian Luger was killed when he lost control of his sled and hit a stanchion. You could feel the sadness as it swept through the people......thoughts out to friends and family-they have lowered all the flags and a will have some sort of a tribute tonight for him at the Opening Ceremonies
Watched practice sessions for short track today-they make it look so easy-Canada looked good!
